WHAT’S NEW THIS YEAR

For 2010-11, DPS will open the state’s second public Montessori Middle School.  The newest and smallest DPS middle school will open at Watts Montessori Elementary for one grade for one year before moving into its own facility and adding a grade in 2011-12. 

Also new this year is a change in the lottery application period.  For 2010-11, parents have from January 4 until 5 pm on January 29 to complete the lottery application.  And, parents are encouraged to complete the application online at www.dpsnc.net
